PRESS RELEASE: Teledyne DALSA Features Color CMOS Cameras at VISION 2012 in Stuttgart

WATERLOO, Ontario November 1, 2012 - Teledyne DALSA, a Teledyne Technologies company and a global leader in machine vision technology, will showcase its latest cameras and machine vision solutions at VISION 2012 in Stuttgart, Germany from November 6 to 8, 2012. Teledyne DALSA’s full range of line and area scan cameras, user programmable and smart cameras, vision appliances, frame grabbers, and software will be on display in Hall 1 Stand D52.

Teledyne DALSA’s latest product offerings, including the Piranha HS Near Infrared 8k line scan camera and color versions of Genie TS and Falcon2 will be on display. In addition, those in attendance will get an advance preview of our upcoming Piranha4 cameras which utilize Teledyne DALSA’s next generation CMOS line scan imaging technology. Advanced CMOS Imaging
We will showcase our latest CMOS based Piranha4 dual line monochrome 8k along with our upcoming versatile 4k model. Available in both monochrome and color, the Falcon2 high-performance area scan camera series (4M to 12M) and Genie TS GigE Vision camera series (VGA to 12M) will be showcased.

Color Image Capture and Processing

Teledyne DALSA is leading the industry with innovative area and line scan color cameras and vision processing capability. The Piranha4 multi-line scan camera series (1k to 8k pixel resolutions) featuring our newest high speed Bilinear color Pirahna4 8k and previewing our Piranha4 Trilinear color 4k.

Near Infrared Imaging (NIR)
For the first time at VISION, Piranha HS NIR 8K takes the stage as our newest TDI high sensitivity line scan camera with enhanced QE in the near-infrared from 700 nm to 1050 nm.

Smart Cameras and Vision Appliances
The BOA Pro with Sherlock inspection software now supports PROFINET IO Industry Standard. In addition, the new GEVA-300 and PL-USB board will make its first appearance at VISION.

Programmable Camera and Vision Processors
Discover our Icon user programmable camera series for OEMs and our most advanced image processor, the Xcelera CL-VX4 featuring Sapera APF user-programmable FPGA interface.
