Going big and going long: 60 MP sensor with 60 minute exposures

Michael Reichmann’s notable photography website The Luminous Landscape has an interesting article by Doug Peterson about the new Phase One IQ260 medium format digital camera back, a model which uses a custom 60 megapixel Teledyne DALSA image sensor that allows exposures up to one hour.

Who exposes images for an hour? Mostly professional landscape and architectural photographers. It isn't for everybody, but for them it's a big deal. The technology developed for this sensor adds to our extensive technology portfolio.
