Teledyne DALSA is proud to be a corporate sponsor of this year’s Parkinson SuperWalk to benefit the Parkinson Society of Southwestern Ontario. Held September 8-9 in 13 communities across the province, the money raised from the event will fund vital support services, education, advocacy and research on behalf of Parkinson's sufferers, their family, friends and caregivers.
Parkinson’s is a degenerative neurological disease characterized by shaking and difficulty in movement. It affects millions of people worldwide, including well-known personalities Michael J. Fox and Muhammad Ali. Over 9000 people in Southwestern Ontario have been diagnosed with the condition.
Teledyne DALSA has a personal connection to the event through Patrick Myles, Vice President of Business Development and Communications. He will be taking part in the SuperWalk in Stratford, Ontario, on behalf of his mother, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s over ten years ago. Parkinson’s really is a rallying point for families, as this article in the Stratford Beacon Herald makes clear.
