Imaging and Machine Vision Europe's April/May 2011 issue features an article by Greg Blackman exploring CoaXPress and Camera Link HS, two new machine vision connectivity standards that seek to meet the throughput needs of today's high speed, high resolution imaging systems— systems that demand multi-gigabit performance beyond the limits of current standards such as Camera Link, Firewire, and GigE Vision.

Blackman also compares existing and proposed standards with future possibilities including USB 3.0 and 10GigE.
