Teledyne DALSA launches its X-Ray Image Reconstruction Technology for extra-oral imaging at IDS 2017

EINDHOVEN, The Netherlands - March 14, 2017 - Teledyne DALSA, a Teledyne Technologies company and global leader in digital X-Ray image sensing technology, will introduce advanced scanning reconstruction software for its Xineos family of CMOS dynamic flat X-Ray detectors at the International Dental Show (IDS) taking place March 21 to 25 at the Kölnmesse, Köln, Germany in Hall 11.2, Stand N060.

Teledyne DALSA is expanding its role as the innovation leader in 2D and 3D extra-oral dental imaging with the introduction of a software library designed to provide dentists and OEMs with improved images and better input for diagnosis and treatment. With Xineos X-Ray Image reconstruction technology for scanning applications, users can expect an increase in depth of field across the full dental arch, overall image sharpness, lowered dose and increased patient comfort as well as improved workflow efficiencies. The technology is based on the reconstruction of a volume of tomographic planes through the patient anatomy and the synthesis of a single 2D panoramic or cephalometric image delivering an ultra-sharp representation of all relevant clinical features.

Xineos CMOS flat X-Ray detectors offer significant advantages over traditional film or existing digital sensors. By delivering superior clinical performance in real time, Xineos CMOS flat detectors live at the heart of today's highly innovative interventional X-Ray imaging systems. Switchable saturation dose, high dynamic range, calibration stability and unsurpassed low dose signal-to-noise performance makes them the preferred image sensing solution for a wide range of applications.

The following are featured in the Teledyne DALSA booth:

  • Xineos-2222HS and Xineos-3030HS - 9"and 12" equivalent detectors with 152 µm pixel size designed for real time surgical and cardio vascular procedures. The industry's only flat detectors to surpass the low dose clinical imaging performance of image intensifiers.
  • Xineos-2022HR and Xineos-3030HR - 9" and 12" high resolution detectors with 99 µm pixel pitch for advanced extra-oral dental, clinical and scientific applications.
  • Xineos-1515 - High resolution detector with 99 µm pixel pitch, featuring a spacious square field of view. Embedded real-time image processing and seamless switchable saturation dose modes for combining high dynamic range and superior low dose detectability in a single detector for panoramic or 3D-dental and extremities imaging applications.
  • Xineos-1511 - new medium size detector featuring 99 µm pixel size, offering excellent low dose diagnostic image quality, switchable saturation dose modes and embedded real-time image processing in a compact footprint. Designed specifically for use in cost-effective 2-in-1 dental imaging systems, it is ideally suited to allow 3D and full 15 cm tall panoramic scans using a single detector.
  • Xineos-1501 and Xineos-2301 - new ultrafast scanning detectors with 99 µm pixel pitch, offering switchable saturation dose modes and image readout in excess of 300 fps at the native pixel resolution. Supporting both advanced frame based reconstruction on the host, as well as an on board Digital TDI mode to retrofit to existing panoramic and cephalometric scanning imaging systems.
  • Xineos-1313EO- designed for Medium Field of View (MFOV) Cone Beam CT applications.
