Teledyne DALSA partners with Quebec industry leaders to support Green ICT initiative

Teledyne DALSA is pleased to be one of six companies partnering with Quebec’s Ministry of Economic Development, Innovation and Export Trade (MDEIE) to support a $70-million initiative in programs to develop “Green ICT”—the application of information and communications technology to reduce environmental impact. The project, known as “Equation” and administered by Prompt Inc., a non-profit corporation that stimulates industry-university R&D partnerships to increase the competitiveness of the information and communications technologies (ICT) sector in Quebec, is made possible by a $30 million contribution from the Government of Quebec and an investment totaling $40 million from six industry partners including CGI, Ericsson, Fujitsu, IBM, Miranda Technologies Inc., and Teledyne DALSA.

“In the 21st century carbon economy, Green ICT offers an unparalleled potential not only to form the basis for a digital economy strategy but also to reconcile economic and sustainable development,” explained Dr. Charles Despins, Prompt’s President and CEO.
