Effective September 1, 2007, the board of directors has approved the appointment of Brian Doody to the role of Chief Executive Officer of DALSA Corporation. Savvas Chamberlain will continue to chair the board of directors in the role of Executive Chairman and will continue to advise on the strategic direction of the Company.

"The breadth and depth of Brian Doody's 20+ years experience at DALSA, most recently as Chief Operating Officer, qualifies him for the role of CEO. He understands DALSA's business, technology, industry and company culture. He has the skills to provide a clear and long term strategic vision for the Company and will be able to communicate this strategic vision to employees, investors and other stakeholders," said Savvas Chamberlain, Chairman of DALSA Corporation. "Management succession is a key part of the health of a growing Company. After many years as CEO, this change in my role is part of that evolution. DALSA's board of directors has approved the establishment of the position of Lead Director, which for 2007 to 2008 will be filled by John Simons. Mr. Simons has been a director of DALSA Corporation since 1995.

John Simons commented, "The leadership and vision provided by Savvas Chamberlain since he founded DALSA in 1980 has been nothing less than spectacular. He has created a vibrant company providing state of the art products world-wide, employing some 1000 people. His contributions were most recently recognized on April 24th 2007 with the award he was given by Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty for Lifetime Achievement in Innovation. We are pleased that Savvas will continue to advise the Company on strategic technology direction in his role as Executive Chairman."

The Company also announced three additional changes to the executive team:

Prior to that he was CTO of Philips Polymer Vision and R&D Director of Philips Imaging Business Line.
