Teledyne DALSA's Vision Systems are multi camera embedded machine vision solutions that have been designed to satisfy your current and future inspection needs. They provide the ease-of-use, performance and flexibility required to meet the diverse requirements of industrial applications, while accommodating the needs and experience of end users.
GEVA 3000 is the newest addition to Teledyne DALSA's high-performance industrial controllers, offering excellent cost savings for multi-camera vision applications such as final inspection of large assemblies. With over six times the processing performance of the entry level GEVA 300 and up to three times the performance of the GEVA 1000, the ruggedized GEVA 3000 provides a robust and highly capable industrial vision system for applications on the factory floor.
GEVA 3000 is equipped with a low power, Gen3 Core i7 processor and high-speed system resources to effectively manage multi-camera applications. Each of the six (6) Gigabit compliant Ethernet ports internally connect through independent data lanes to alleviate bandwidth bottlenecks often associated with multi-camera acquisition. Each network port can be configured for either camera or network use and each can be expanded using external switches to accommodate larger camera or network configurations. GEVA 3000 network ports are compatible with a resolution range of mono or color area scan GigE cameras.
GEVA-3000 is available in two models, supporting either 6 high-bandwidth Gigabit Ethernet camera interfaces that significantly drive down system cost, or dual Camera Link Base / single Medium capture using Camera Link© cameras.
GEVA-3000 is equipped with a Gen3 Core i7 processor, paired with high-speed memory resources to tackle the most demanding applications. As well, its fanless design reduces downtime and maintenance costs associated with deploying standard PC solutions in harsh industrial environments.
In addition to Ethernet, GEVA 3000 provides standard external interfaces for system integration, including display, 6 USB ports and a serial port. Camera triggering, I/O and lighting control is supported using a companion breakout module. The PL-USB module provides an easy and safe way to connect factory I/O to the GEVA 3000 and associated cameras.
Vision solutions on GEVA 3000 are set up using Teledyne DALSA’s iNspect Express or Sherlock application software. Both packages offer a full complement of tools, together with interfacing and control options for both users and equipment. For performance migration, applications built on other Teledyne DALSA equipment with the same camera setup will also run on GEVA.
GEVA is a high-performance industrial controller that offers excellent cost savings for multi-camera vision applications, such as final inspection of large assemblies. As the name implies, GEVA provides expandable Gigabit Ethernet camera interfaces that significantly drive down system cost.
At the heart of GEVA is a powerful dual core processor, equipped with high-speed memory resources to tackle the most demanding applications. Two dedicated camera ports are provided, each with enough bandwidth to easily support eight 640x480 mono cameras imaging parts at 60 per second. The camera ports are compatible with a wide range of mono or color, area and line scan GigE cameras in a range of resolutions.
Aside from camera interfacing, GEVA provides a number of external interfaces for system integration. It includes dedicated display and USB ports for setup and runtime control, a third Gigabit Ethernet port and a serial port for factory communication, dedicated trigger inputs for inspection timing, dedicated strobe outputs for lighting control and optoisolated I/O for associated equipment interfacing.
Vision solutions on GEVA are setup using Teledyne DALSA's iNspect or Sherlock application software. For performance migration, applications built on other Teledyne DALSA equipment with the same camera setup will also run on GEVA.
The new GEVA-300 is a fanless, compact vision system for multi-camera applications. Like the more robust GEVA-1000, the GEVA-300 features expandable Gigabit Ethernet camera interfaces to offer higher performance at lower cost, but also delivers space savings thanks to the new smaller, fanless form factor, tolerating harsh factory conditions and varying temperatures
Based on the Intel® dual-core ATOM™ architecture, the GEVA-300 offers robust performance for a wide range of machine vision applications at low power consumption levels. With 6 dedicated GigE ports and 2GB of high-speed DDR2 memory, the GEVA-300's processing power rivals that of the VA4x series while still offering savings in both cost and energy consumption.
The GEVA-300 supports a wide variety of GigE area and line scan cameras, including Teledyne DALSA's own Genie cameras, and is offered with either iNspect Express or Sherlock software running on the Microsoft® Windows® 7 Embedded Operating System.
The GEVA-300 also accepts the new PL-USB companion I/O expansion module, allowing for easy integration of up to 4 additional Teledyne DALSA Genie cameras. The PL-USB's DIN mountable plastic enclosure makes installation simple without sacrificing valuable panel space, and its compatibility with the same cables as the GEVA-1000 as well as iNspect Express and Sherlock software ensures quick and easy integration into any GEVA-300 system.
The VA15 defines a new standard for entry level machine vision solutions. This low-cost, full-featured product, equipped with CCD sensor, combines performance, ease-of-use and flexible integration capabilities to tackle a broad range of industrial applications.
Unlike its traditional smart camera counterparts, the VA15 incorporates the “smarts” inside the camera controller, as opposed to the camera head. This has the dual benefit of easier integration, since it can be positioned in a chassis alongside other automation controllers, and smaller camera size, thus making it suitable for tight-fit applications.
Teledyne DALSA’s VA3x Vision Appliance provides automated optical inspection solutions for applications requiring one or two views of a part. Designed for easy setup and integration, Teledyne DALSA Vision Appliances offer manufacturers a cost-effective and practical means of automating quality control on the factory floor.
The VA3x is fully equipped with directly accessible industrial grade inputs and outputs that are wired using removable screw terminal connectors. A visible LED light is coupled to each connection to reflect the active state of the signal. Flexible I/O, combined with choice of camera resolution and software user interface make these vision appliances well suited to tackle a wide range of inspection tasks.
Teledyne DALSA’s VA4X Vision Appliances are compact machine vision controllers for multiple camera automated inspection applications. These products have been designed to offer flexibility, speed and choice of camera to match the performance needs of end users and system integrators.
Multiple camera inputs provide excellent cost efficiency and easier integration for applications that require simultaneous inspection of different parts or part views. Camera resolution can be easily substituted to match changing application needs.
Each controller is equipped with industrial grade I/O that are broken out to removable screw terminal connectors. Serial communication options include RS-232, USB and Ethernet for connecting into the factory network. All physical connections are located on the rear panel, with status lights available on the front.
Teledyne DALSA’s VA5X Vision Appliances are compact machine vision controllers for automated optical inspections that use line scan camera technology. These products have been designed for applications requiring cylindrical unwrapping of parts or large format imaging of moving surfaces.
Multiple camera inputs provide cost efficiency and easier integration for applications that need to perform simultaneous inspection on more than one part or process. The VA5X products support a range of camera resolutions from 1024 to 8096 pixels and provide synchronization timing between the cameras and the moving part or surface.
Communication options include standard serial and Ethernet interfaces for communicating with complementary devices or connecting into the factory network.
Available with standard (iNspect) or advanced (Sherlock) application software, our Vision Appliance products have been carefully designed to address the needs of a wide range of industries such as Automotive, Consumer, Electronics, Packaging, Pharamceutical and more.
The standard iNspect software provides capabilities for positioning, identification, verification, measuring and flaw detection. Included with iNspect is iLabel, an application designed specifically for the packaging industry that is used for verifying the placement and quality of labels on packaged goods.
Vision Appliances are an ideal product solution for both end-users and integrators of machine vision.
