Interested in infrared imaging in machine vision? Watch our webcast

To most people, machine vision means visible wavelength imaging—and no wonder, since “vision” and “visible” come from the same root. But visible light is just a tiny slice of the electromagnetic spectrum, and there are some significant advantages to imaging in non-visible wavelengths such as X-Ray, ultraviolet, and infrared.

On November 19, Teledyne DALSA and IRCameras will sponsor a webcast on “Understanding and applying infrared imaging in vision systems.” Hosted by Vision Systems Design and presented by Jonathan Kane, President of Clear Align, the webcast will address topics including:

  • The fundamentals of the IR spectrum and advantages of IR imaging for machine vision
  • The different types of sensor materials used to capture image data
  • Important features of the latest IR cameras and how to choose a camera for your specific application
  • Examples of machine vision applications in which IR cameras have been successfully deployed
