WATERLOO, Ontario - November 23, 2011 - Teledyne DALSA will make a presentation at a seminar entitled "CMOS Image Sensors for High Performance Applications" at the Institut A é ronautique et Spatial in Toulouse, France from December 6-7, 2011. Co-organized by CNES, ASTRIUM, and Thales Alenia Space, this is the second edition of the CMOS image sensor workshop. The workshop will include a round table which will attempt to gather customers from applications sharing similar needs for high performance CMOS image sensors: Medical and Dental imaging, Machine Vision, Defense, Astronomy, and Science.

This year, Teledyne DALSA's Naser Faramarzpour, Senior CMOS Design Specialist and David Cochrane, Director of Advanced Technology Markets, will make a presentation on "Characterization Results of Teledyne DALSA High Bandwidth Matrix and Linear CMOS Devices and Roadmap for Radiation Hard and High Resolution Area Devices." The presentation will discuss the company's recent fabrication of an 8 Mpixel global shutter CMOS imager and an 8K / 16K linear CMOS imager, both for high performance machine vision applications. The global shutter device uses Teledyne DALSA's latest generation of global shutter pixel technology to achieve high dynamic range, high sensitivity, and high shutter rejection performance.

Teledyne DALSA's CMOS devices have been optimized for use in machine vision applications and can be re-optimized for use in specific medical, scientific, space, and security segments. In particular, opportunities will be discussed to leverage Teledyne DALSA's IP from its CMOS X-ray panel products to optimize these designs for high radiation environments.

The workshop will be held at the Institut Aéronautique et Spatial, 23 Avenue Edouard Belin in Toulouse, France.
