Los Angeles, CA, June 16, 2008 -- DALSA today announced it is formalizing its already close relationship with Sohonet Solutions, the new production services division of Sohonet™. Sohonet Solutions will function as the preferred partner to manage the data workflow generated by the new generation of DALSA cameras. Working closely with Sohonet Solutions ensures the data output from DALSA’s Origin and Evolution cameras can be managed and delivered to the various production departments in the most effective way.
Jon Ferguy, Senior Partner at Sohonet Solutions explained that Sohonet Solutions can deliver 4K data generated by DALSA faster and more efficiently than HD camera-to-tape workflows, even though HD uses much lower data rates. “This will mean that DALSA users will benefit not just from the higher quality of the DALSA images, but substantial savings in time and resources, both on set and into Post,” commented Jon.

Sohonet Solutions was formed to allow the expertise developed by Sohonet on moving high volumes of data around the world to be applied to productions using digital capture and the new types of data workflow.
