Like many businesses in Waterloo Region, Teledyne DALSA has international offices providing key contributions. So as the mayors of the Region’s three cities undertake a trade mission to Germany and the Netherlands, we are delighted to host them for a tour of our R&D facilities in Eindhoven, NL, on October 3.
Cambridge Mayor Doug Craig, Waterloo Mayor Brenda Halloran and Kitchener Mayor Carl Zehr will join John Jung, CEO of Canada’s Technology Triangle Inc, for a business development mission intended to raise the profile of Waterloo Region, explore foreign investment opportunities and further develop existing relationships—for example, with Eindhoven and its Mayor Rob van Gijzel, who visited Waterloo Region in June. Eindhoven was named an “Intelligent Community of the Year” in 2011; Waterloo received the same honor in 2007.
After visiting the headquarters of several German companies with operations in Waterloo Region, attending tradeshows in manufacturing and food industries, and meeting with diplomats and trade officers from Munich, Berlin and The Hague, the delegation will visit the Teledyne DALSA labs on the Eindhoven High Tech Campus where many of our latest digital X-day detectors have been developed. The success of this business earned Teledyne DALSA the Business of the Year award from the Netherlands-Canadian Chamber of Commerce (NCCC) in 2012.
