Inside Sales Specialist II
This role will have the following mandate:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Distribute customer leads through our Channel Partners and ensure they are successfully “followed-up” and managed.
- Provide front line contact to our channel partners on general sales inquiries
- Prepare quotations for standard and semi-custom products opportunities. When required, calculate cost and contribution margin.
- Successfully manage the order process for Regional Sales area, which includes:
- When required, new customer set-up and credit application submission.
- Verifying Purchase Order information to submitted Quotes. Resolve any discrepancies with customer and Key Account Manager.
- Documenting customer order information onto Standard Product Order Form (SPOF). Submit to Customer Support group for order entry
- Providing customer correspondence on their order activities.
- Expediting critical orders. In conjunction with the Customer Service Supervisor propose recovery plan for identified orders at “risk
- Ensuring product is shipped as confirmed to the customer.
- Enter and maintain customer information in the sales database.
- On a planned basis, follow-up and update forecast unit requirements based on open Blanket Order, Order history or open quotes
- Cooperate with Regional Sales Management to manage forecast quality and accuracy.
- Regularly follow-up with customer who have outstanding consignments. Provide options to ensure timely closure of open consignments.
- Provide first level inquiry to customer on Account Receivable issue. Escalate to KAM if no resolution can be met.
- Provide backup to KAM and other regional ISS during their travel or days off.
- Participation in and support of promotional activities such as trade shows and annual sales seminars.
- Support Sales Management on Channel Performance and reporting activities.
- Ensure product support inquiries and issues are directed in a timely manner to the appropriate support person.
- Provide local administration support.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate from a post-secondary electronic technology program.
- 3-5 years experience in customer service or inside sales.
- Proficiency with Windows based PC applications. Specifically Lotus Notes e-mail, Contact Management software, MS Office.
- Strong Business Acumen
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
- Well organized and able to work independently without direct supervision.
